The paper details the ambient environment of intelligent agents. The main applications of intelligent agents in the economy are listed. The role of intelligent collaborative agents in the transition to knowledge-based economy is very important, they are a factor that directly affects productivity growth, correctness and efficiency of information processes for solving current problems in the economy.
